thank you for all your advice, i understand the dilemma of thinking too much and pondering on the life questions that yield no answers really... each one his/her own i guess...
That is not a problem. I jump from one area of interest to another, so my pardons if I can't recall which thread of yours I participated in at this particular time. However, I feel that its coming back to me, slowly. Hehe! **Chomps on her pocky** Let's get on a roll!
A rather interesting question!
Although the purpose seems to be set and straight forward from my own perspective here, I do know what you mean about certain temptations settling in that will derive you off of your main course. That is why I try to keep true to my very own words as best as I could. Over time, my thoughts may change from experiences, I may not be fighting the same battles I may have overcome back before then in the past, and my worries may shift some place else. You could possibly say there's no need to fight for it as long as it doesn't concern me anymore in particular.
Even though it would be nice to stand up for what is right for the rest of the community / society, especially those who are very close to you, to be honest with you, I would rather prefer be the person who would settle out as a fence-sitter and do nothing at all, having to place these kind of issues as the least of the worries. Of course, depending on who it may affect, if it has to deal with something like me or my personal close friends in particular, I would likely be highly involved in putting an end to what seems to cause the problem as quick as I can, not as a will of payback but as a will that in the future, these events won't hopefully ever have to happen again in due time [although I highly doubt that may be the case]. How? By normally dropping off a word of apology, debate necessary points to draw out the meaning of their mistakes only once, maybe twice [though rarely], and moving onwards. If it gets too heated in the crossfire, rather than be helplessly fighting in a corner where they want you to lose, you simply just ignore them and have them deal with the frustration they brought upon themselves.
As the saying goes: It is wiser to pick your own battles, than to be fighting for all. I've seen it happen too many times. No one would ever really want stress to be placed upon their lives, and just having them to drag you into their little so-called "mind games" is exactly the way they want it to be.
The whole point of the story is that it isn't worth hanging onto something you consider good when they believe their own is better through unconditional belief. Only those who are reasonable, thoughtful, and understanding individuals are worth talking it over and dealing with the cause itself. If no one is willing to listen and demonstrate effective communication, its highly likely that they want to provoke you, they don't want you to be angry with them in return, and if you do, you pay the price. Either way, they'll try to laugh it over and try to get over your skin. It's how you handle it and trying to weigh out what's really worth fighting for depending on the individuals whom you are connecting with through effective communication, that matters.
Oh, about that. I'm not going to deny the fact I meant what I said, but however, I am fairly reasonable with people who are just who they are. Besides, I know a good colleague of mine who tends to talk about guys all the time and how good they look, and I didn't really mind about it. The reason why we still get along is not because of our differences in opinions, but rather she can display a common courtesy and respect towards me when she means it the most. Even though I do not like to mention about this typical subject in particular, she completely understands me and never tries to bring up anything about it at all. I likewise do the same for her. That's what I like so much about her. She's a very thoughtful and caring person, really. Sure, she may often joke about it too much at certain moments, but she does it in good nature and spirit, of course. Nothing to any extremity.
In any case, if you feel slightly offended by that remark of mine on that picture, I do apologize. It was not my overall intention to target certain people down, and I hope you can understand what I mean by this. **Tips her hat** Oh, and sorry about the long reply. Farewell!
Starting all over again eh? Good times. Posted in a topic. Laterz
